Green Power System and Energy Management Strategy

Write about the Introduction to Research for Reorganized Collected Literature.

Under this research, the hybrid and green power system involves the renewable energy resources that are existed at the site of implementation. It is also implemented for producing the electricity and around the premises of building in an economical manner. An energy management strategy will be used in this research to build and ensure the uninterruptible power supply. As a result, it is beneficial for connecting the building. Optimization outcome depicts that the system is reliable as well as cost effective with less emission of carbon (Kumar, and Bhimasingu, 2015). Sensitivity assessment indicates that the system performance is optimal in all scenarios.

It is an essential element of research methodology that is essential for accomplishing the objective of research in a trustworthy way. Moreover, a different technique is applied by an investigator for attaining the aim and objectives of the research. These techniques are quantitative, qualitative and mixed research design. The qualitative research design is applied in the philosophy of interpretivism and improves the comprehension of research in detail. This research shows the belief, language, and opinion of participants. This research design also involves different strategies like questionnaire, experiment, interview and focus group technique (Lund, et. al., 2014). Along with this, qualitative research design is practiced to assess the association amid solar integrated energy system and green building.

Quantitative research design methodology assesses the several events as per the number of participants. Under this technique, the question is started with how many as well as how often. It is a scientific technique to resolve the difficult set of information (Ruparathna, Hewage, and Sadiq, 2016). The quantitative research design is practiced for analyzing the number of responses of the participants.

Mixed research design methodology facilitates an investigator in order to resolve the issue of research that could be generated during the research. Consequently, mixed research design provides the theoretical as well as conceptual information with regards to solar integrated energy system for green building (Modi, et. al., 2017).

There are different issues associated with solar integrated energy system for green building. However, here, I would like to interpret the issue of Green building research–current status and future agenda. It is not enough to address the theories of the green building but also detect the challenges of green building (Lu, et. al., 2015).

Literature1. Green building research–current status and future agenda: A review

Optimization and Sensitivity Assessment

Green building is one of significant measure in order to avoid the impact of the building stock on the society, environment, and economy. But, there is inadequate systematic assess of the high amount of studies, which is significant for a future attempt. The last decades have evidence to show the rapid enlargement in green building. This literature review critically assesses the current body of knowledge of investigation associated with green building. The general research themes, as well as methodology, were addressed. These common themes are explanation and scope of the green building, quantification of advantageous of green building as compared to conventional buildings and several approaches in order to develop the green building (Oró, et. al., 2015).

It is addressed that the current studies play a fundamental role to emphasize on the environmental aspect of green building. Another dimension of sustainability of the green building, particularly the social sustainability is highly addressed. This literature also focuses on future research opportunities such as the effect of the climatic situation on the usefulness of green building assessment technique, the unique demand of particular population, validation of the real performance of the green building and future proofing (Omrany, et. al., 2016).

Renewable energy based microgrid system sizing and energy management for green buildings

The key aim of this literature review is to focus on the model of the hybrid power system for a building that is technically appropriate and economically optimal. Wind turbines and photovoltaics are combined with the web linked building in order to endorse renewable energy sources. The system involves the optimal system pattern and models in order to predict the hybrid optimization model for electric renewable. The rationale is demonstrated with the case study as per the practical data of building placed in southern India. This building is related to 3.4 MWh/day priority load and 3.3 MWh/day deferrable loads (Deng, Wang, and Dai, 2014).

In this literature review, sensitivity analysis is conducted in order to minimize the uncertainty like an increase in electricity consumption, environmental changes and grid tariff. Through the simulation outcome, it is pointed that the designed system is environment-friendly and cost-effective. It leads to 6.18% annual cost savings and declines the CO2 emission by 38.3 %. Sensitivity outcome demonstrates that the system is adaptable and optimal in a specific range of unanticipated variance with regards to best-estimated worth. This literature also explains that energy management system is built for the optimal system in order to make sure consistent power during disturbances and contingency. The hybrid power system as well as green can be flexible to any large consumers and critical situation of urban buildings (GhaffarianHoseini, et. al., 2013).

Existing Literature on Green Building Research

Literature3. Sustainable energy performances of green buildings: A review of current

This research scholar illustrates the essence of sustainability in the implementation of green building design. This literature review focuses on the sustainable energy performance of green buildings in order to address the influential parameter as per the contemporary successful attainments. This research discusses the contemporary trends and application of green building design as well as the respective impact on the sustainable developments. It also elaborates the analytical review to confirm the sustainable energy performance of the green building.  This research also illustrates the practical resolution in order to alleviate the CO2 emission as well as decline the building sector energy consumption (Deng, Wang, and Dai, 2014).

This study found that there is need to address and develop the efficient energy solution regarding green building for increasing the future energy demands. The outcome focuses on the sustainable energy performance regarding integrated technology and renewable energy system. It also focuses on challenges associated with a fundamental parameter of maintenance, operation as well as cost. The contemplation of research findings focuses on considering the engineers, architects and developers for enhancing the upcoming eco-cities and explicit viewpoint regarding developing smarter as well as greener built atmosphere (Lu, et. al., 2015).

Literature 1 is reliable for my investigation because it focuses the Green building research–current status and future agenda as it is beneficial to develop the green building in future. This research problem is strongly linked with my chosen research issue.

Literature 2 is based on the Renewable energy based microgrid system sizing and energy management for green buildings. It highly discusses regarding the microgrid system sizing and energy. It is highly connected with my issue.

Literature 3 is illustrated Sustainable energy performances of green buildings: A review of current theories, implementations, and challenges that is effective to obtain sustainable energy performance in the green building. This research is strongly linked with my selected research matter.

In this section, I will use a methodology that integrates the other methodologies. I have selected some research article that focuses my research concern and also related to the problem that I required for construing. I have categorized the research methodology in the different subsection that contains the research methodology with justification as well as show the limitation and benefits of selected methodology.  It also explains the procedure or structure of completing the research (Wang, et. al., 2015).

Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methodologies

Although, I had already explained that I would like to implement the hybrid methodology because it is not only limited with the qualitative and quantitative design of research but also focuses on the features of both designing of research. Therefore, it is appropriate to use both of them rather than using one of them. I will also use survey through a questionnaire in order to testing and obtained responses by the workforces who deals in green building with the integrated system (GhaffarianHoseini, et. al., 2013).

Benefits:

  • Direct communication with people
  • Testing as well as the survey would be performed together
  • Authentic data
  • Communication with users
  • Data analysis and  testing

 Limitations:

  • Different people have different viewpoints
  • it can be a difficult strategy
  • The outcome could be vague
  • Solar energy integrated system in the green building could be complex
  • inadequate time as well budget (Lu, et. al., 2015).

As per the above structure, it could be evaluated that several approaches can be practiced into the investigation as per the research issue. This methodology is beneficial for attaining the objective of the research. With the intention of this research, inductive approach and survey through questionnaire would be used to complete the investigation.
