After thinking about the tasks those have to be completed in the workplaces during my daily days, different resources are there on which I have to focus on are the educational resource, financial resource, human resource etc. On a regular basis all of these resources are needed to be followed accurately. The list of workplace resources needed to deal with the current job are as follows:

  • Office place calculators
  • Storage space calculator
  • FASB changes or lease accounting resources
  • Financial resources
  • Resources to support recruiting and retention future office planning
  • Education resources in terms of digital books
  • Daily E-learning online courses
  • Webnaries

Even after following many rules and regulation in some cases, personal goals might not be achieved. The reasons for which a person might fail to reach his or her goals are as follows:

  • Fear for personal success and even failure
  • Lack of professional commitment to the SMART goal
  • Lack of focus towards to the activates and analysis
  • Lack of a real world destination  and improper goal planning
  • Complexity with the setting personal goals
  • Unworthy feeling towards the end resultants and Lack of motivation towards the changes

In any project lifecycle whether it is a professional project or a personal one, planning is the most phase that has to be strictly considered by the project developer or any personnel. In both personal life and workplace the planning plays important role. In order to reach the personal goal and workplace objectives planning is very much important. The benefits of planning in the workplace are as follows:

Maintaining a Work-Life Balance

It provides proper direction to the personnel and business owners so that they could easily reach the objectives

  • It increases the workplace accountability
  • Personnel could eventually anticipate the problems
  • Planning provides opportunity to the personnel and business to share different resources
  • It makes any project financially beneficial
  • It helps to make a project cost effective
  • With project planning a project could be completed within estimated time and budget as well.
  • It helps to increase the level of skill discovery
  • Helps to get reliability
  • Planning provides skills discovering scope to the employees
  • Both personal and organizational projects and objectives could be achieved accordingly
  • In each step of planning additional lessons could be learned

In order to accomplish any workplace project the project managers are responsible to maintain a set of project activates to reduce the work load and also to complete the project within estimated budget and time as well. Based on the project background single project should be divided into smaller sub-activities and all those activities are needed to be followed. However, each time it is not necessary that the project activities are equally important. The project manager is responsible to decide between the task urgency and task importance. With the help of prioritization metrics the project activities are needed to be segmented in different parts such as urgent, important etc. While prioritizing any task the project manager should consider some features. The steps set for measuring the priorities of any project activity are as follows:

  • Measuring the tasks and its respective responsibility during the project implementation
  • Evaluating the importance of each of the tasks
  • Proper learning to manage time during the implementation of the workplace projects
  • Consideration of accurate changes those are to be done and adopted by the project manager as well
  • Discrimination between urgent and important
  • Based on the workplace priority, business goals and success metrics should be prepared
  1. Time management skills

In my previous workplace, I was assigned as a professional software developer and a project leader too. Thus, my responsibility was not only compete my job roles but also motivating the rest of the project team members. Time management is referred to as one of the most important activities that have to be considered by the project manager for successful accomplish accomplishment of any project.

In order to manage time accurately it is necessary to maintain proper rues for managing time and economic status as well. There is certain time management techniques those are needed to deal with the work overload, productivity improvement, etc. Organization is an alpha and omega time management tool that helps to get a accurate overview regarding the project plans and current days solution. It also helps to identify the urgent and important tasks those are required to be completed initially. It helps to save the overall project development and implementation time. In my previous workplace I used to develop a project charted first and a work break down structure as well. It helps to reduce the work pressure from the project team members. Based on the importance, urgency and load of any activity the time for any activity is estimated.

I am not at all intended to change the way of my working in the professional career and working field as well.

Being a software developer in a business organization my responsibility was to meet the project objectives and SMART goal as well. Another responsibility was to meet the expectation of the project managers. In order to meet the expectation of the managers, I also had to set some steps and processes as well and those are as follows:

  • The project activities are required to be clear to the project developer and project team members
  • Understanding the expectation of the project manager
  • Understanding the organizational culture

Discussing Management Development Opportunities

I think that the lists of expectation I have considered are completely realistic and achievable.

  1. In order to measure my success in the workplace I think I need to conduct a professional workshop on IT and its usage in the workplaces. Not only this but also the ways to be followed to conduct the workplace responsibilities as IT professionals should also demonstrate in the workplace. In addition to this I think that I also have to talk about the communication tools through which the poor communication issues could be resolved. For measuring the personal success, I think I also have to collect survey results from my project team members to make sure that, they are appreciating me as a project manager.

In my previous company I have followed different rules and regulations those are needed to be considered by a project manager to meet the project objectives. In the coming future I am expecting to increase my level of knowledge through attending different professional workshop, training and development programs.

Measuring the success is important because it helps to define my current status as a project developer and also as an IT professional.

  1.  Being an IT professional I have huge responsibility in the workplace and at the same time I also have to work very hard in my personal life. However, in each step I also have to balance my personal and professional life. In order to balance the professional and professional life I have to follow some activities and the list of activities are as follows:
  • Development of time management plan
  • Setting professional and personal priority
  • Separate the works and play
  • Development of daily schedule
  • Maintaining the schedule
  • Procrastination management
  • Eliminating all the obstacles and distraction as well
  • Must create separate professional and personal life
  • There must be a shield to safeguard the passion

I feel that I meet these responsibilities very accurately.

  1. My Future goals in terms of SMART goal

Specific: I want to become a leader of a software development project

Attainable: I think I could attain my expectation through attending different workplace and training ad development programs

Realistic: I am expecting to reach this expectation within coming 5 years

Time bound: I am already working as a professional software developer and to reach the professional goals within coming 3 years, I will try to attend training programs and workshops as well.

  1.  I think I am an active IT professional worker with positive mind set. I am very much interactive in nature as well.  My communication skill is also very strong. I can easily interact with new members of any project. I am extremely punctual. However I am little short tempered which is my biggest weakness.
  1. Being a software developer in a project development team I have addressed my weakness because apart from being motivated in nature I sometimes get tempered with unprofessional and non sincere behavior of the project team members, which I need to control.
  2. According to Keller’s motivational model, I think that, my work goals sit within the top priority level offered. The components those are expected to achieve by me are attention, relevance, confidence, and job satisfaction.
