Discussion on technologies and its working principle

Technology is referred to as one of the most important aspects that is widely used by the system developers for increasing the market revenue throughout the competitive marketplace. The significant fundamentals of wireless communicating devices and normal telephones used in both the workplaces and home as well are very much helpful for all individuals. For connecting people regardless of their location and time the wireless mobile technology is found to be very much beneficial (Dixon Jr, 2016). The technologies used in the telephones are the combination of the electricity and acoustics that is transmitted through the wires from the sending point to the delivery point. With the voltage variation the sounds and words do transfer from a single point to the other.

A critical research has been conducted in this report about the working principle of the technology including the functionality of the technology in both the initial phase and even after the implementation phase also. After considering people’s health, welfare and environmental state it is defined that, due to the usage of the technology all political, social and economical states are impacted both positively as well as negatively with the technology. However, at the end of the report the longer availability of the technology for the telephone devices are minutely elaborated.

In order to carry the voice of the people from one end to other end the technology of telephones provides great insight. However, the traveling waves that carry the voice are invisible in nature and transfer the vibration in terms of energy from the sender to the receiver. A very basic electrical circuit is used in the telephones for activating the telephones (Danielsson, Eriksson & Allebeck, 2014). A complete telephone is consists of different components such as copper able, fiber optics, microwave towers and satellite as well. These components help to carry the telephonic signals across the country. Not only this but also certain switching apparatus are there those helps to transfer the single to the absolute accurate location (Turnbull et al., 2014). After considering a typical telephone handset it has been found that, at the top of the system there is a loudspeaker and with the help of the microphone the speaker could modulate their voice and send it to the destination without any sort of hesitation.

However, currently the types of handsets have been changes completely and in the advanced smart devices all the applications of a computer are compacted within a small device. The users of the smart phones could access different apps and also can utilize the applications, positively (Stumbo, 2013). In addition to this, technologies could be positively and negatively with the help of its usability. The system developers should consider all the aspects very carefully so that it could minimize the rate of errors very sophisticatedly. The microphone acts as a connecting device between the speaker and the receiver. The microphones could convert the sound energy in voice in the electrical energy (Redlich-Amirav & Higginbottom, 2014). On the other hand, the equipment that could convert energy from one form to other is known as the transducer. Though for converting the form of energies magnetism is required. However, in some of the devices, the microphones and the loudspeakers are absolutely identical by nature.

The Working Principle of the Technology

The components those work very much actively for transferring information from one end to the other end are elaborated below:

Dial mechanism: Dial mechanism was available in the traditional telephonic devices. The user could dial any number from 0 to 9 as per their choices and based on the number the number of pulse gets created (Jacobs & Saunders, 2014). However, the dial mechanism was changed after the innovation of keypad. In a keypad the numbers are organize well.

Belles: In the traditional phones there was a presence of shiny and metal bells that is used to indicate the incoming calls. However, the modern phones have buzzers rather beepers and those are not at all sound nicely.

Electromagnet: The electrically controlled magnets are used to control the magnet switches. The magnet kept on moving in between the bells at the very front (Oman & Bury, 2016). If the outer cover of the telephone is taken off then the entire incident of clapper will become clearly visible to both the developers and users as well.

Call transmitting technology: The terms long distance could be minimized completely after the adoption of telephone. However, with more advancement the wireless communication devices are invented named as mobile phones. Though nowadays after the adoption of Smartphones all the computing applications have become enough easier (Rasool et al., 2014). Among the urban centers the long distance calls could be beamed most of the times with the help of the micro towers such as smaller satellite dishes those are mounted on high buildings. By using the space satellite, even the international calls could also be bounced properly. The satellite, fiber optics, and microwave towers help to send and receive calls just not as the electrical signals only but also as the pulses of the radiation of electromagnetic radiation (Brabyn et al., 2016). That is the main reason for which the modern wireless telephones are much flexible, faster and cheaper as well.

Technology and political components impact each other both positively as well as negatively. The government policies in technology are dependent on the prevailing ambiance. At the initial stage of implementation of wired telephone technologies the political environment of the countries are impacted negatively and the countries faced major loss at the initial phase but just after certain time phase, the telephone technology impacted the society very positively (Turnbull et al., 2014).

The social changes initiates with technology and it provides direction and purposes to the employees and users also. In order to bring the social changes, technology helps to create social reformation that makes conscious efforts. Even the natures of social transformation that must be brought in the society are determined by technology (Ploeckl, 2016). Moreover, it could be said that society and technology are referred to as two way traffic and the social changes could disseminate and transmit the entire culture of technology. The social change is found to be the instrument as well as pre-condition of the technical thought. Different sorts of social changes that take place in technology includes civilization change, social relationship changes and cultural change.

Impacts on Society

The social, political and economical ambiance all have been affected very badly. In order to create contact to other the telephone technology is found to be very much beneficial and the countries those have been used these technologies are also benefitted economically (Russell-Bennett et al., 2015). However, the newly developed wireless technology is another commercially beneficial technology that is currently widely used by almost everyone.

The environmental state is referred to as one of the most important factors that is strictly required to be considered by any of the technology developers. For the technologies the environment might get both positively as well as negatively impacted (Sieverdeset al., 2013). It has been found that security and health safety of the people is the most important thing that falls under consideration. The signaling wave that is transmitted from the sender to the receivers is not at all secured. Still after the discovery of smart phones the numbers of users are getting increased day by day.

Nowadays the traditional land phones have become almost obsolete and for the interoperability of the wireless devices the numbers of users of the wireless devices are getting enhanced day by day. Not only this but also, the users are able to access all the computer level applications from the smart phones which is found to be quite beneficial (Koskan, et al., 2014). Due to this reason telephones are being widely used by most of the users throughout the world. The system developers are working on this technology and the technology is facing real world innovation every day.

Considering people’s health and welfare it has been found that, the entire environment is getting both positively as well as negatively impacted and the impacts are as follows:

Positive impacts

Communication convenience: The convenience of communication is enhanced by the increasing usage of both wireless as well as wireless devices. Regardless of time and location the users could keep themselves connected with other users (Johnston & Marshall, 2016).

Entertainment: The users of the telephones are also entertained with this technology and even with internet connection world-wide different sort of entertainments are availed by the users.

Negative impact

Hacking: Security of the users is the major concern that is strictly required to be considered and hacking is a major issue which is currently interrupting the level of security of the users (Dixon Jr, 2016). As people are using telephones for payment and banking purposes also thus if the financial details will be hacked then the users will face major level issues.

Accidental and health problems:  Mobile phones have resulted rush driving and accident also. Additionally, for signal or sound waves the healths of the people are also getting affected.

Though for the wide usage of telephone technology many people are getting negatively impacted but the positive effects have the ability to outweigh the negative impacts. Because, though accidents or hacking are causing but still the number of users are getting increased instead of reduction.

Conclusion

From the overall discussion it can be concluded that telephone is become the necessity for the people and due to its reliability, flexibility and interoperability the number of users are also getting increased day by day. Even people cannot imagine their lives without this device. As telephone is a part of today’s technology thus, both the positive and negative impact of this technology could affect people’s health and welfare. The impacts of telephone technology in society, economy and at the same time in politics are also elaborated in this report. Though, the innovators are developing technology in terms of both safety and health every day. Both the wired and wireless telephone technologies are very much helpful for society. A balanced presentation between the positive and negative impact of this technologies are also illustrated in this report. However, the developers are required to concentrate more on the security aspects. As people are using telephones for net baking also thus, development in security is needed to be improved more.
