Organizational excellence is defined as the ongoing efforts which are establish as an internal framework of standards and processes which are intended to effectively engage and motivate employees in the effective way (Anagnoste, 2018). Although, the primary goal of The Knowledge Management is linked with enhancing the company’s efficiency in order to accomplish organization goals. Knowledge sharing increase the knowledge resources with a considerable role of the dynamic capacity for gaining a competitive advantage (Gonzalez & De Melo, 2018). For getting optimum results from the knowledge management, it is important that an organization establish their priority among these knowledge areas such as: tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge. In this research proposal, there will be discussion about organizational excellence and knowledge management in the UK companies. From the perspective of knowledge management, it can be analysed that knowledge in an organization is developed through continuous interchange between tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge.

The aim of the research will “to understand the organisational excellence and knowledge management in the UK companies”. This aim is accomplished by focusing on the following objectives:-

For example: establishment of total quality management is the finest example of an organizational excellence. The necessary information in order to help team members in accomplishing organization goals. Moreover, there are certain pillars of the organizational excellence such as: leadership, strategic planning, human resources, process management, etc. For an organization, who wants to accomplish organizational excellence then they should focus on the following key attributes such as: leadership, strategy, customer results, business results, society results, etc (Kucharska & Bedford, 2019).

So, it is important that an organization should chose their leadership style in order to accomplish their goal of organizational excellence. For example: suppose that ASDA decided to acquire ISO standards certification and the management decided to guide all the employees for utilizing specific steps so that the company can accomplish ISO certification. In this context, leadership can play an important role because it will guide employees to perform specific course of actions. Moreover, for the knowledge management a company should design a centralized database in the effective way.

According to Zaim, Muhammed & Tarim (2019), If any organizations want to accomplish organizational excellence, then they can focus on acquiring ISO 9001 certification in the effective way. From the perspective of organizational excellence there are various benefits of acquiring ISO 9001 certification such as: it showcases demonstrable control of quality management, it is a real opportunity to increase customer orientation, it improves customer satisfaction, it reduces complaints, successful certification which leads to a listing as a supplier and it also improves the organizational reputation, it enhances company value, etc. According to the data published by “Askwonder.com” there are 40,621 companies in the UK with ISO 9001 certifications (Qualityaustria.com, 2019). In order to accomplish organizational excellence, the companies should take use of following such as: ISO certification can take company from one level to another by enhancing the efficiency of the process. Not only this, from the perspective of the customers they effectively trust a brand with higher organizational excellence, etc (López-Torres, et. al., 2019).

According to Abusweilem & Abualoush (2019), for the implementation of knowledge management companies can focus on the following key steps such as: collecting, organizing, summarizing, analysing, synthesizing and decision-making. On the other hand, for the implementation of organizational excellence there can be following key parameters which are linked with organizational excellence such as: information, structures, analysing human capital, rewards, learning systems and work processes. Analysing of human resources incorporate discussion about total human capital within the organization and ways through which human resources can be motivated to accomplishing higher productivity levels in the effective way. For higher-level management of the Unilever there can be following key areas such as: industry benchmarking, quality resources & tools, talent & team development, networking & event. After deciding about the specific area for improvement the company will need to arrange specific resources so that they can optimize implementation of the organization excellence (Nisar, Prabhakar & Strakova, 2019).

 According to Demir, Budur, Omer & Heshmati (2021), there are factor which impact organizational effectiveness such as: casual variables, intervening variables and end-result variables. In the casual variables of organizational excellence there are independent variables. End-results variables are as follows such as: costs, earning and productivity. As, end-results variables effectively reflect the achievement of an organization cycle methods. Apart from this, from the perspective of organization excellence and knowledge management there can be certain ways which can improve the work performance such as: leadership, strategy, accountability, communication and different performance metrics. For example: an organization can set different key metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs) which can help them to evaluate about the key areas so that optimum potential can be accomplished. Apart from this, a successful organizational excellence strategy is also required so that the company can shape and decide key parameters which can help them to overcome hindrance which can arise in their task of accomplishing organizational excellence. Moreover, from the knowledge management perspective an organization will need to discuss different key areas which can help them to evaluate overcome hindrances (Durmu?-Özdemir & Abdukhoshimov, 2018).

The section reveals the methods and structure which will be followed in the proposed research. In this section, the data collection method, strategy, searching criteria and data analysis techniques will be described. In the proposed research, secondary method will be used for conducting the study. It is the type of the research method which is collected by the other actual users that is describing the information which is already available. In the proposed research, the data will be collected by journal articles, newspapers, magazines and books for acquiring the information about the organisational excellence and knowledge management. This helps the researcher to give better results about the importance of organisational excellence and knowledge management and the impact it have on the UK companies performance. The secondary data helps the researcher to use the existing information about the leadership role in organisational excellence and knowledge management. Furthermore, the existing studies does not provide much of the information about the effect of organisational excellence and knowledge management on the company performance. Therefore, in the proposed research, the newspaper and online articles with the journal articles of the UK companies will be used for collecting more data about the particular research topic.

Benefits of Acquiring ISO Certification

The research will use inductive method because of describing the theories and models of the knowledge management which is used by the UK companies and furthermore relates with the overall company policies and practices. This helps the researcher to concentrate on the different elements of the topic for acquiring complete data about the implications of organisational excellence and knowledge management. The collected data will be examined by adopting the qualitative analysis method. This is because it supports the researcher to identify, examine and examine the patterns to address the research question (Durmu?-Özdemir & Abdukhoshimov, 2018). Furthermore, the researcher results in determining the themes of the research topic. In the proposed research, the themes should be “organisational excellence, knowledge management and the effect on UK companies”. This helps in revealing non-numeric information and at the same time analyze the large amount of data.

The articles will be selected from “GoogleScholar, ScienceDirect and EBSCO”. Moreover, the articles will also be selected from the e-journals, this helps in providing current information about the subject matter. The manual search will also be conducted for collecting the information. The 1625 articles will be generated from the 4 database and through following the PRISMA diagram about 7 articles will be selected.

The inclusion criteria of the articles will be that only the articles which provide information about organisational excellence and knowledge management. The articles which gives information about the UK companies will be included in the research. The journals which will be published between the year 2015-2021 will be included. However, the articles which published before 2015 and does not give data about the UK companies are excluded from the study. The data will be extracted by developing the themes of author, data collection and research findings:-

Now, if the company decides to implement knowledge management parameters, then it can resultant in the following key benefits such as: it makes more efficient workplace, it increases collaboration, it focusses on employee onboarding, it also enhances employee retention, etc.

Although, knowledge management cycle can be highly efficient because companies will need to focus on the cycle of knowledge such as: discover, capture, process, benefit & share (Abbas, 2020). Furthermore, in the dissertation the data will be collected by understanding the impact of organisational excellence and knowledge management on the company performance.
